The Dragon Boat Festival, also known as Duanwu Festival, is one of the most significant and traditional holidays in Chinese culture. Observed on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month, this ancient festival carries a history of more than 2,000 years and symbolizes health, peace, and good fortune.
Traditionally, the festival is celebrated to honor the patriotic poet Qu Yuan. People across China celebrate the day with classic customs, including exciting dragon boat races, homemade glutinous rice dumplings (Zongzi), and hanging traditional herbs for blessing and purification. It is a festival that inherits history, expresses gratitude, and prays for wellness for the whole family.
